At the end of the recent school year, BGPS said farewell to 33 staff members with a combined 734 years of service to Battle Ground students, staff, families and the community. We thank them for their dedication and wish each of these former staff members the best in their retirement!

Serving 35 years or more

  • Nancy Roegner, health/fitness teacher at Battle Ground High School. Hired in 1985.

  • Sheri Buys, second grade teacher at Maple Grove Primary. Hired in 1987.

  • Carol Baddgor, library technician, Captain Strong Primary. Hired in 1989.

  • Cynthia Brock, head custodian, CASEE. Hired in 1990.

  • Darren Rinta, history teacher at Battle Ground High School. Hired in 1990.

Serving 25-34 years

  • Teresa Ferrell, security, Battle Ground High School. Hired in 1993.

  • Jan Davis, certified occupational therapist assistant, Maple Grove Primary. Hired in 1995.

  • Vici Crowell, assistant secretary, Summit View High School. Hired in 1996.

  • Cheryl O’Dell, help desk technician, CASEE. Hired in 1997.

  • Mark Billiar, seventh grade teacher at Daybreak Middle School. Hired in 1998.

  • Jean Haley, basic education assistant/crossing guard, Chief Umtuch Middle School. Hired in 2000.

  • Dina Richards, special programs paraeducator, Amboy Middle School. Hired in 2000.
