Here at River HomeLink,

We commit to inspire students with an enthusiasm for learning.

We support families by providing a unique variety of quality educational opportunities in a safe environment.

Possibly the most unique and quality educational opportunity is the learning partnership with families that our school was founded upon. Our commitment to inspiring enthusiasm for learning depends upon a strong, consistent, and supportive partnership with families, which begins with Orientation.

  • River HomeLink 2024-2025 orientation will occur during the first week of the school year, from August 27 through September 6, 2024.  while K8 students and families will participate in essential program class and enrichment course orientation activities.

  • Picture days

    will be

    August 28 and 29

. Students and Partners will all need a photograph for security IDs.

  • High school students should check out all required technology and textbooks for courses by the end of this week.

The following week, September 3, 4th, and/or 5th, high school students will attend their scheduled classes with a parent/guardian for River HomeLink High School Orientation.

During high school Orientation families and students will:

  • Learn about RHL partnership expectations

    and

    opportunities

    for the school and for

    each specific class

    students attend

  • Learn about the new and improved

    intervention process

    to

    support

    student success

  • Plan

    , set

    goals

    , discuss and practice

    strategies

    for

    at-home learning time

  • Sign up for future in-class partnership time, and

  • Engage and connect

    with RHL teachers and

    other home-learning families

    in this

    unique variety of educational opportunities

    .

RHL Orientation will conclude with “Homecoming” our first Community Day of the year on September 6th, where families and students will have additional opportunities to engage and connect with teachers, advisors, and each other.

  • Families and students enrolled in independent

    study courses

should expect communication from those course teachers about opportunities to engage and connect about independent study during Orientation.

We look forward to partnering with you for the upcoming school year!
