Hello BGVA families,
It looks and feels like Fall has fully arrived. I truly enjoy the seasonal changes of the Northwest. It is one of many reasons our state is such a wonderful place to live.
As our seasons change, it is important to be mindful of the possibility of inclement weather. BGVA is now designated as a South School. Moving forward; this means we will follow the BGSD South school schedule when there are snow days or changes in the regular school days.
Please be aware that as our new attendance system comes online you will be receiving current information from our attendance staff. This is communicated through the School Data platform to help our families stay informed of students' attendance. We thank you in advance for reviewing this informational tool to help us ensure accuracy.

Check emails regularly: It is very important for students and families to check emails frequently. This is our main form of communication and we do not want you to miss any important details your family may need.
Here are a few other important items for you to consider:
Activity Participation - Local Middle and High School. As a BGVA student, you are eligible to participate at your local middle or high school for their after school activities; such as sports, drama, band and other activities. Studies show that students engaged in extracurricular activities have better attendance and higher grades. Make sure you reach out to your local school or contact your BGVA advisor if you have any additional questions regarding these opportunities.
Good Happenings at BGVA K-5 Trekkers, Grades 3, 4, 5: We hope to see you at the field trip on Tuesday, October 22! Please see details in my K-5 weekly newsletter and our K-2 weekly newsletter.
6-8 Explorers - Make sure to check your emails regularly. Keep up the good work!
High School Hey Mountaineers - Make sure to check your emails regularly. HS Mountaineers Newsletter
We will continue working together to “Foster the Joy of Learning”.
Enjoy your weekend!
