World Language Testing

Battle Ground Public Schools offers students the opportunity to earn World Language high school credits through remote World Language testing. Students who test proficiently can earn up to 4 World Language credits on their high school transcript. Students who earn 4 World Language credits and meet their high school English Language Arts district and state graduation requirements are eligible to earn the Seal of Biliteracy with their high school diploma.

2020-21 Testing

  • Testing will be completed 100% remotely
  • The testing window is May 3-15, 2021
  • Students will schedule their test date and time directly with the remote proctoring service
  • Two test options through Avant Assessment: the STAMP 4S ($40) or the WorldSpeak Test ($65).  Test fees are non-refundable.
  • Students register online
  • Students must register online by April 16, 2021 to participate in May testing. Late registrations will not be accepted.

Earn high school credit via Challenge Exams

High school credit can be earned by challenging certain high school courses (not recover credits) by taking and passing a challenge exam. This option is available to students in grades 8-12, with testing occurring annually in May at the Prairie High School Media Center. Courses that are eligible are:

  • Algebra I
  • Geometry
  • English 9
  • English 10
  • Biology and
  • Washington State History

Students must register no later than April 16, 2021. Late registrations will not be accepted. At all middle schools, RHL, SVHS and CAM, this signed application form and fee is turned in to the building registrar.
