Watch D.O.G.S.

Sept. 27th, 2022

Become a Watch D.O.G!

The Watch D.O.G.S. are coming to River HomeLink!

This national program brings fathers, grandfathers, uncles and other father-figures into schools, where they serve as positive role models for students and contribute to campus safety. At River, our Watch D.O.G.S spend one or more days per year volunteering.

Who are Watch D.O.G.S? The Dads of Great Students Watch D.O.G.S. program is one of the nation’s largest and most respected school-based, family, and community engagement organizations in the country. Watch D.O.G.S. is a family and community engagement educational initiative designed and developed by educators, experts and parent volunteers over more than two decades.

What will Watch D.O.G.S do at River HomeLink? We will connect with students in classes and at recess, help with drop-off and pickup, and monitor the parking lot, fence line, gates and exterior doors.

If you are interested in joining the RHL Watch DOGs at any time, here are the steps to get started:

  1. You must complete the volunteer clearance process through the district.
  2. Contact Luke by emailing lobergluke@gmail.com to introduce yourself and say you are interested in becoming a Watch D.O.G.

Thank you for supporting our students, families and staff!
