Nearly two dozen parents, teachers and community members showed up last week to help spruce up River HomeLink’s outdoor learning space. Led by Kris Potter, the school’s outdoor learning coordinator, volunteers pulled weeds, hauled away dead limbs and spread cardboard and wood chips. The outdoor learning space is used to educate students studying science, gardening, agriculture and more. One of the garden’s newest features is a living structure made of willow trees that was planted by a former River student.
Thank you to everyone who came out and lent a helping hand!
