Good evening, this is Mr. Kesler with your first NEWS from the Sunday Night Call for the year.

No classes Monday in observance of Labor Day

So very good to see you all last week for orientation, thank you for prioritizing your time around being here and getting acquainted with your chosen program.  This is valuable time and helps us get the year off on the right foot.

We are excited to announce that we will continue, this year, working with Character Strong and we are now adding Purposeful People.  Attached below is an introductory letter. Be looking for the many ways we incorporate this material in class and ways you can discuss these powerful character traits at home.

Community day is Friday the 8th.  8:15 – Noon.  Wow, that is early in the year to have a community day and right after orientation?  Yes, our vision is that we can take a deeper dive into the work we are doing this year.  There will be workshops, teacher Q and A sessions, and more.  Look for a separate email with all the details or an invitation from your advisor or teacher.

Remember, RHL stands for Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, and Lead with Compassion.

Our focus for September is Respect.

Respect is treating others as if they are important because they are! Valuing people for their humanity, even though they might be different from you.

Try this No Tech Table Time: Have no technology during dinner tonight. Have everyone store phones and other distractions away, and enjoy a meal or snack together.
